Another Major Scandal Looms in Ruto Gov't as Info Shows Tender Worthy Billions that Has Raised Ques

Another significant controversy is imminent, which comes weeks after a large one rocked the Kenya Kwanza administration, which is run by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

News reports state that the Ministry of Health, led by CS Nakumicha, is facing criticism following the discovery of information on the purchase of HIV test kits. The test kits' procurement and distribution to counties without proper monitoring of their production and expiration dates has been questioned by vocal MPs under the committee of health.

"We implore Harry Kimtai, the Principal Secretary of Medical Services, to provide clarification regarding the procurement and tender awarding process, as it appears that due process was not adhered to," Kibagendi stated.

Further information reveals that the tender was not even publicised by the Kenya Medical Supplier Authority. The ministry of health has responded to the allegations, stating that it obtained the test kits through a one-on-one approach.

Regrettably, the majority of the test kits that were provided have run out of date, and others are on the verge of expiring, which could compromise HIV testing operations. The government has stated that arrangements are being made to obtain test kits that have expired prior to the delivery of new ones.
